My granddaddy, a farmer in rural Louisiana, made a lotta money making
and selling moonshine. I helped him bury his hard-earned money all over
his 100-acre farm in huge Folgers’ coffee cans because he hated banks. I
promised my granddaddy I’d never tell where those cans were located. But
on December 6th both my grandparents were murdered and the devious,
racist cop sent out to investigate the murder found out about the secret
cans. He also found out I knew where they were located. Based on true events.
This original play was performed live at the Whitefire Theatre on February 9, 2022 as part of Solofest 2022.
